Some SNES repos' are expensive. How can you be making it so cheap?
We kept our process simple & engineered our own PCB for easy soldering, reliably, & uses standard parts. We are also well setup from out N64 & VB repo work.

What happens if my SNES repo stops working a year or so from now?
To date we had zero fail in wild. Our SNES reproduction have perfect track record, but if happens we'll ship you a free replacement. We went to a lot of trouble to design/build for high reliability.

I don't see Super Metroid or Yoshi Island or other popular SNES repos' on your website why?
We don't do all things SNES! We stuck with 1MB capacity for SNES Games & FX games.

What this green thing you gave me with my N64 related order? What I do with this?
Its call a Printed Circuit Board (PCB). We don't give away business cards, instead get this green thing. Picture it a momentum to know how to find our website again, we think it looks cool, or read this listing to know what it for. Idea is could be useful one day.

I'm new to this or little confused about all your shell options? Can you simply this?
Sure, think of two types of shells in the world of reproductions or re-made games.
First type is what we call OEM, original, or official, these are shells you seen while growing. We simple buy cheaper games, and remove the stickers, clean them, and re-use them.
Next type is Reproduction, Newly Injection molded re-created, or new shell. These shells look bit different from what you seen as a kid. These shells are cost-effective, clean, and easy to work with. That why they are lower-cost and many repo shops use them.

How good of shape are your "Used OEM SNES Shells" or "New Injection Molded Shells"?
OEM shells are cleaned with solvents and look quite good, but will have some minor imperfections. They meets the quality standards of majority of collectors’, but if you require 100% mint conditions that perfectly flawless, we may not be best service for you. We're a cost effective solution.
Regarding FX games our extra adapter PCB inside, may have the Cart bulge little bit in upper right side. Yet, everything fits properly.
Injection Molded Shells are new from quality supplier. Just keep in mind some type/colors maybe limited.

Will you make PAL versions SNES games for people across the pond?
Sadly no. We just wanted to focus on NTSC SNES items. Yet our Super Stunner 6 will work in PAL SNES Systems.

I run a Repair Shop or Retro Gaming Store, I need something help with repair/testing?
Please see our Snes Test Cart section, the Rev D burn in cartridge a very power console testing cart. You'll know right away if all is good. We also make our CIC testing cart, so you can quickly check if have any bad CIC chips in large lots of SNES games. We also have usual spare parts and take questions to help your business out.
Side note, our reproduction Test cart is very high quality PCB, designed to really push the console awake!

I'm a big SNES player, collector, or fan! What got for me on repair side of things?
We feel the Rev D Burn in test cart be good investment. It help tell you health or your Console. So you can help tell any future repair guy some diagnostics. Say, your thinking of buying another SNES at convention or Pawn store, take this cart in your pocket and tell them to run it before you buy.
Our CIC tester more for people testing boxes of games. Yet, if have a bad game, you could use this to know if its a bad CIC inside. And if had an eye on one reproduction in our store, can double as way have that reproduction as well.
Note the circuit board inside our repo's and test carts are built very different than others. They are way overbuilt to help consoles awake and repair process.

The top label not staying (peeled up)? What happened?
We normally stock our carts (with label on) upside down for a few months. This cure time will have the top label stay down permanently. With new orders we may not have had limited time. If this happens we just request you apply constant pressure to top label for few weeks or a month. We apologies for this silly inconvenience.

What is the build quality or difference between your Star Fox 2 (SF2) or Super Weekend (SW) compared to other repo guys?
We respect other repo builders in the community and feel every method works fine. Some use heavy wiring; a common method of building SF2 in the past. Some make a whole new PCB and move FX chips on it. Some also have a multi cart with many FX games on it.
Method we choice is using donor "Stunt Race FX" (which has the GSU-1 FX chip) and a custom PCB (an adaptor board) to easily soldered/install the new rom chip. We find this method to be very professional, reliable, and help increase life span of the product.
Our Custom Vintex 64 FX adapter PCB has:

Our Custom Vintex 64 FX adapter PCB has:
- Soldering open to base PCB; a great feature if ever need to reflow-solder or trouble-shoot. Other models cover this area.
- Extra anchor soldering pads for greater mechanical strength; under IC; has two large round plated rings that correspond to base PCB.
- Thicker PCB for great strength.
- Wide/deep castellated holes for super easy lining up and extra contact/mechanical strength.
- Boot capacitor options.
- 2oz copper for increase conductivity.
How do your Star Fox 2 save its gaming data? Is hard change battery?
Regular battery SRAM; so has that old-school round coin battery. Yet, we added another adaptor PCB to the "base PCB" that use regular coin battery in holder; that super easy to replace. No soldering required!
The battery is the "CR2032". Can find these in any general electronics store. Just note once battery out you lose your save data. Yet, you can jump the 3V power to another source temperate - while change battery to save your save. In bottom far right image noticed the large + & - solder pools. Design fact, these large round soldering pools to adapter PCB was designed for high/extra mechanical & battery power stability.

Do you overclock Star Fox 2 (SF2) or what clock speed is it at?
Is your Super Weekend (SW) clock speed same as the official cart?
It is possible over clock SF2 with change of crystal/rom part, right now we leave it clocked to standard clock speed of 21Mhz. This actually requested/wanted by many customers been very popular. We may look into an OC option in future.
All SW carts are same clock speed as official. We did a side-by-side test. So, you SW score is authentic when comparing it to others. With that said if plan enter an official contest and invest significant time in your score, maybe consider purchasing an official "Super Weekend" that way no one can dispute your hard earn score. See documentary “King of Kong – A Fist Full of Quarters” for more details on why most authentic hardware is so important for official score challenges.

I seen a few guides/YouTube videos on how make a Star Fox 2. What advice do have for me to build my own? I'm new to this.
Keep in mind the time and cost. Cost of buying all the stuff and time in build. Also, the time to learn and develop your skills and craft; depending on your current experience.
Regarding some advice: buy some spare donors, make a test cart with socket to insure your programmed roms are flashed correctly; can get bad chip sometimes. Download a few guides/videos - see the different approaches to it and use what works best for you. Have some fun with it. Take the time needed. Then when in the zone make a few as you may not come back to it. Remember, it is not for everyone, we all have our strengths and weakness, and there will always be some frustrating moments/days. It happens - even to us.
If never build repo before, suggest take on a smaller/simpler project before moving to a more complicated one like Star Fox 2.
We can selling you our SF2 rom chips blanks & other parts. Just note ours have byte swapped to keep more of original pins. There are other adapter PCB around the web for sale. Yet we believe ours the best, but we maybe bias to our work; others likely work fine.

How can I avoid counterfeit Super Weekends (SW)? How are you protecting collectors that want or own an authentic SW?
Always ask the seller for picture of the PCB, it’s impossible to replicate the original SW PCB. Given the big investment you are planning to make (don't worry it's only going to go up in valve), there is no excuses for seller not providing an images of front and back of the PCB. Also, request the seller to put on paper, within the image, his contact info and date inside the picture.

We are always on the look-out for new and popular software, but we will only focus on lower capacity 1 megabytes (1MB) games, reason is:
- We feel many little snes gems are overlooked by other repo makers.
- It was originally just to support our Super Stunner 6.
- We want keep focus on our N64 & VB which our focus and specialty.
- If snes repo get too "Controversial" Vintex 64 can safely hold its ground with 1MB snes.
