Know your controller’s analogue stick sensitivity and lifespan
A Test Cart that quickly/effectively tells you the sensitivity and accuracy of N64 Controller’s joystick. The user simply moves the joystick upon program requests and then get a feedback graph. The program itself has a nice Star Trek Next Generation theme interface.
The program main function is determine joystick sensitivity, but in our experience the graph also serves as an accurate perspective of how much life span the controller joystick has. Please be aware the test cart has no other features; other than testing the N64 works. The main menu has no background music, but does have sound effect when navigating.
The author likely created/entered this in the Presence of Mind 1999 utility competition hosted by dextrose.com (a N64 news website back then), which was promoted by Bung Enterprise. We don’t know how it did, but in Vintex 64 opinion it’s the most useful utility from the contest that has a place in today’s market.
The program author goes by WT Riker who was a well-known N64 programmer who made several neat utilities back in the 2000's. To pay homage to his good work we created the William T. Riker label for this Game Pak.
A reminder this test cart program is public domain data.
This is a great test cart for those that needing a fast, and reliable way of knowing condition of used N64 controller joystick and has a neat menu interface.
