A very hard operations style Japanese puzzle maze game.
This listing is for the official Nintendo Japan game. You have option to have official Japan back shell or North American official back shell. Will work fine in both Japan or North American N64 Systems. Please note this is used and shell front will have some cosmetic damage, dis-colouring, or other wear aspects.
This is a crazy puzzle game based on Japan game show of similar name. It’s a form of a over dramatic and adult operations game.
The aim to pass a ball through a sequence of bewilderingly difficult electrically charge mazes; touch the wall and start at the beginning. The challenge comes from time limit, complexity of mazes, and depending on player, the loud Japanese only announcer. This game is very hard, it tests player’s tolerances to the limits, and is very likely most players not get past level one. However, it’s an addictive type of hard/frustration, and the game has an crazy atmosphere that had it earn a cult following.
The proper translation of title is “Ucchan Nanchan no Hono no Challenge: Denryu Ira Ira Bo” which translate to “Ucchannanchan's Challenge of Fire: Electric Pen of Nervousness”. This game also has a PS1 version realest in US and a known arcade version of this game exsists.
This game is not converted to English, it’s the Japanese N64 version of game on a North American Repro Game Pak. Player can navigate menus and figure out settings with some practice. The announcer only yells in Japanese, but it adds to the characters of the game.
There are no known cheats, GameShark codes, or anything that can help at time of this writing. Best advice one can give is get a good 3rd party analogue stick controller; as regular N64 analogue stick is not accurate enough. On a side note, has any N64 programmer thought about added a rom patch to turn off the damn timer (so game be more fair)?
This Game Pak includes a save chip and saves fine.
For those looking for a big change, you will find it here, be warned! However, this is a very unique N64 title that stand with its own cult following, and something all dedicated N64 player will like to try out from time to time.
