A sort of reimaging of Mario Bros based on classic arcade gameplay in 3D.
Players control Mario with his usual moves to knock enemies off ledges. This not quite the classic Mario Bros action-platform game. Yet, you will have the usual Mario warp pipes, jump, shell pick-up, etc.
Title also known for distant sound and effects.
Note, this game has no saving feature as was original release. However, with this patch edition, you can skip to any level of your choosing, but not have high score saved.
Upon release the game did have decent reviews & was a favorite at launch of VB with its neat 3D effects. Yet was not quite the grand Mario adventure that many we’re expecting/hopping & for some the gameplay gets reparative over time.
Note this reproduction of the game has controller fix & all level access patch.

- Changes the controller layout to the Mario standard by swapping A and B (A jump, B throw) and also puts “run” on both triggers.
- All 99 levels selectable from the main menu, instead of only the first 40.
