Back in the day Nintendo had special tournament events called “Nintendo Campus Challenge”.
The idea was that players compete for high score and this build awareness to new Nintendo products.

This cart has the original special modified version of “Super Mario World” that was on that tournament cartridge.
As far we can tell it is very similar to the retail version but modified for content.
Note, has no save support like the original.
In the SMW. The goal is to get 50 Coins A screen appears briefly to tell you this goal. You then start off at Yoshi's House. You see 99 lives, but they are infinite. The easiest way to collect the 50 coins would probably be to complete the first level to your right, from Yoshi's House (Yoshi's Island 2) using Yoshi. There is 50+ Coins on that level since eating the apples with Yoshi counts.
You can also avoid all the coins and proceed onto the later levels but you may, or may not, have the 6 minute time limit so limited to explore.
The original cartridge has other games like F-Zero, & menu. Yet, we can put each of those on cart separately if anyone would like. We cannot do "Pilot wings" as would need donor DSP chip. We just focused on this SMW as felt game most value on cartridge.
Original cartridges were never intended for home use, they are extremely rare with only 2-3 known to exist from collectors. Yet, you can now get the version of SMW at great price for your personal enjoyment. This listing is also a bit of a pilot program to see interest in other Nintendo Campus Challenge product line.
