This is a charter skin swap of the official "Sparkster" Snes game. It replaces Sparkster with Sonic. This was created by the Twin Eagles Group, the same company responsible for another bootleg Sonic on SNES “Sonic the Hedgehog 4”
Even the original Sparkster game was highly received & seen as a great title for the Snes. Many feel it was an underrated game. Konami did great work on this title. It was also released on Genesis. Overall its considered a decent game, it at its heart a sonic spin off from post-sonic cool animal mascot formula. Many veteran Sonic fans will notice this while playing, which ironically compliments the Sonic skin swap.
This game is also inspired by Contra, with huge bosses, mostly big robots, that need to hit the weak point. The speed, action, flying through the air, bold and quality visuals, etc.
Very good sound, graphics overall, & high production value.
The game is not overly long, and some of the enemies and bosses can get tough at times. Also, some texture issues such as smoke at times, but overall, the skin swaps work well.
A nice Genesis type action, with actually Sonic character, is quite something for the Super Nintendo. It may not quite play like a true Sonic Game, but with above average action, its still a good game to play, own, & enjoy.
